As a prominent figure in postimpressionism, Paul Cézanne has earned himself a spot in the summer exhibition of the Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar. How prestigious this really is, and how he would feel about it were he with us today, I do not know.
There are many articles and blog posts on the subject of finding the shortest distance between two points on a sphere. I have found none of them very helpful. In navigational context, it determines the distance between two points on Earth "as the crow flies" (assuming the Earth is a perfect sphere).
